The Wine Museum at the “Oenotria Land” winery.
The winery buildings include a very interesting “Wine Museum” with a plethora of exhibits.
The visitor shall be informed about the art of winemaking, starting with cultivating the vineyards. The museum is visited by individual tourists or in groups.
The hospitality is exemplary. The museum is open for visits from 09:00 till 17:30 on weekdays and from 11:00 till 15:00 on weekends.
If you plan to visit it in a big group, it is suggested that you contact the museum before the visit either calling +30 22950 52 213-4 or by email at: kapandriti@domaine-lazaridi.gr
It is suggested that you have with you your reading glasses, if you use, as the low light levels can make the very informative texts hard to read.
Following the museum visit, a wine tasting session is really desirable.
After the tour of the museum, the hospitable staff of the winery will help you taste a range of wines, white, rose or red.
The wine tasting will allow you to chose to buy one or more bottles of wine, so that you can appreciate better the wines that Domain Lazaridi and Domain “Oenotria Land” produce.
The excellent 10 year old Balsamic Acid produced by Domain Lazaridi
To be honest, we were not aware that Domaine Lazaridi produces a series of Balsamic Acids.
We were excited by the Balsamic Acid fermented for 10 years. Just a drop on the tongue and our mouth was filled by an explosion of flavours. Do reserve it for some exceptional plates. Use a few drops on high quality cheese or meat, on your risotto, the ice cream or the panacotta. Remember to always use it after the cooking has finished. Otherwise, it will be wasted.
